Tin Universe Daily #246

#246

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

‘They are on their way down. That means…’
Guinevere put her hand on Joanshir’s shoulder, ‘No time for woe Knight, we must be prepared. Merlin? Delta?’
Merlin and Delta were gathered as Ywain and Mordred pulled up laid stones from the floor of the chamber. Ywain reached into the ground after Mordred pulled up a very heavy stone with a small bag in his hand. Then he reached it to Merlin but Delta stepped in-between and took hold of the bag, ‘Not this time old friend. Change of plans’
Merlin jumped into the face of Delta fierce with rage which set off a power that knocked everyone in the room but for Delta to the floor, ‘That is mine!’
‘This was never about you Merlin. It was about a boy with a destiny that you were a part of.’
‘But I saved all of it.’
‘And now it must be returned. The world needs legends but it needs heroes of reality even more. They wish for me to use the crystal to fix things.’
Merlin sat down in the floor at Delta’s feet almost in a sulk like a child, ‘I did not know you did everything those Napoleons told you to do?’
Delta bent down and patted his friend on the shoulder, ‘The only thing I am is what I now live to be.’
As vampires began to bang thunderously at the chamber door Guinevere walked over with Joanshir to were Merlin and Delta where, ‘Merlin what is going to happen?’
Merlin looked up at the Queen, ‘Things will be put right my dear. Finally, you all will have peace.’
Then Merlin looked over to Delta who was leading Mordred and Ywain over to hold the chamber door secure with several long boards, ‘What do I get Delta? Do I finally face judgment?’
Delta turned after showing the two young Knights what needed to be done, ‘No. Destiny has further plans for you, Morgan, and Joanshir.’
Joanshir launched in confused rage and kicked Merlin in the chest and then she slapped Delta, ‘Tell us what is going to happen!? What has happened!?’
Delta takes Joanshir’s hand, ‘I will beautiful lady as we go.’ The Queen signaled for Joanshir not to kill Delta for his condensation.
Delta didn’t notice, ‘Now Guinevere, Merlin link hands with us. Mordred you and Ywain hold that door for as long as you can.’
They linked hands and sat down on the floor of the chamber. Delta took out the crystal and sat it in the middle of the floor between them. From the crystal appeared Morgan. Mordred turned from the door long enough to allow the vampires to overpower Ywain’s strength and force the door open and he said one word before all but himself and his half-brother disappeared, ‘Mother.’

Tin Universe Daily #245

#245

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

Lancelot, Arthur, and Perceival stood, ready, awaiting the charge. Merlin had lowered his magic’s. The time was now. If this day would produce stories to be retold they would start with this moment. There was nothing but silence within the kingdom now. Arthur by way of Merlin and Delta’s plan had sent word to Russia that if he let all leave Camelot outside of the castle unharmed they would lower Merlin’s magic’s.
Lancelot had warned all Knights what was going to happen. They were to take all the people of Camelot away from the kingdom as far as they could go until they heard word from the King or Merlin to return.
Perceival was the first to speak up after all of this had taken place, ‘I looked through Merlin’s globe of sight. The Vampires have allowed all to leave to your request my King. Now they have the castle surrounded. Looks to be around one thousands of them. Their King, this Russia as Merlin calls him is standing at the main gates awaiting what I do not know? Do they know how many we are here?’
Lancelot leans against a wall putting on his armored gloves, ‘This vampire leader is trying to think like our warlock and figure out what is happening against his knowledge.’

Russia stood with his warriors knowing full well Merlin had a plan, he always had plans upon plans, but he also knew of nothing the warlock could do that could stop his army. A handful of Knights and feeble magic will not keep him from re-entering the flesh world.
And nothing could stop him from tasting Delta’s blood.

‘Merlin?’
‘My lady.’
‘What you and Delta speak of is madness?’
Delta turns to Guinevere as Joanshir, Mordred, and Ywain help Merlin move a number of chairs, bookcases, and a huge filing cabinet against the chamber door, ‘Not madness, just the things dreams are made of.’

It was sudden. Smoke began shooting up the walls of the castle transforming into armored vampire warriors as it entered the windows of the main hall. There they went up against Lancelot, Arthur, and Perceival.
The battle had begun and Lancelot being the born leader that he was took charge, ‘Arthur guard the door. No matter what you do not move from it until one of us falls. Perceival to the stairway, I see smoke there already.’
The King moved back as his friend yelled and Perceival ran to the stairway just as the smoke Lancelot spotted changed into a link of vampires lined up the steps in single file, which lead up to the main hall.
All the vampires surged into the hall at the same moment. All the Knights raised their swords as one. The battle would rage in the favor of the Knights for over an hour, and then the vampires started to make headway. Blows hit white armor, men were backed within the room, and two hours after it began Perceival fell from a cut across his neck.
The battle stopped for a few moments as vampires swarmed Perceival’s body feeding on his blood and flesh, then more vampires appeared focused on the sight of Arthur and Lancelot who both stood backed against the door. All that can be said is that they fought valiantly and with fierce fury from every inch of life they had left until they both fell and the door was shattered and smoke charged down the steps towards a wizard’s chambers.

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

Guinevere was going over the plans they had with Lancelot and Arthur; while sitting at The Round Table eating were Merlin and Perceival. All but Merlin were scared silly though when out of thin air appeared Joanshir and someone all of them recognized on top of the table.
‘I hate when someone uses one of those disks when I am near!’ shouted Perceival.
Lancelot helped Joanshir down from the table and Guinevere immediately grabbed her in an embrace.
Merlin stood up and smiled like Merlin normally does not do at the stranger standing on the table. Arthur also seemed happy to see this person also.
‘Delta,’ Merlin chirped.
Delta jumped down from the table taking Merlin’s hand and shaking it, ‘Merlin, what havoc have you caused now?’
‘Not my doing old friend. Russia is finally ready to make his final stand against us.’
Delta grabbed Arthur’s hand in friendship and hugged him and did the same with Lancelot. He bowed to Guinevere and then turned back to face Lancelot once again, ‘Do you still have my blade around here somewhere?’
Lancelot bent down and reached up under the table and pulled out a sword like no other in Camelot because there was no other like it in Camelot. You see Merlin, who obtained it during a visit to Rome, gave it to Delta as a gift.
Joanshir walked up to Delta as the others gathered around Merlin as he told them what they had to do to save Camelot.

An hour later as the planning was still going on, and Merlin was now asleep on Arthur’s throne, Joanshir was sitting near Delta as he ate, ‘You are the famous wizard Delta?’
‘Famous am I? I don’t know if I like that. I’m really supposed to be as conspicuous as possible.’
‘My father spoke of you once. He said you were more human than Merlin but seemed just as tortured in the soul.’
‘Your father was a very wise man,’ Delta stood up to walk away, ‘But my soul is gone and it is not a subject I wish to discuss.’
Joanshir was left wondering about this stranger who she found herself very attracted to.

Tin Universe Daily #242

#242

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

Deep within the castle, below the dungeons, and past the depths of the cold of the Earth to the chambers of Merlin. Sitting in a chamber which when entered seemed more like a small church were Ywain, Knight of the Round Table and son of Morgan. Also by his side were Mordred his half-brother and one of the most noble of Camelot’s Knights.
Ywain had a charge as The Protector And Guardian Of The Nine Maidens Crystal. The most powerful object in Merlin’s keeping and considered by many to be one of The Seven Treasures Of Creation. But with The Nine Maidens Crystal it has more to do with the power it contains within it than simply the sight of its beauty or its rarity of existence.
Sitting within this church like chamber Ywain studies scriptures and other writings given to him by Merlin to pass the time. He is not allowed to leave the chamber for any reason and if he does so his punishment is death on orders from King Arthur himself.
With his charge as protector of the crystal, Ywain has become a Knight who has never known combat, but is still one of the most respected of the Round Table Knights. Other Knights come to him for counsel and teachings and he has taken an oath of chastity to keep any temptation to come between his desires and the protection of the crystal.
That oath really pissed Perceival off but that is a story we do not have the time to go into here.
Mordred on the other hand, a noble and brave Knight he maybe, could never have taken on the charge his half-brother lived day in and day out. Mordred has always had this gut battle deep within that has had him throughout his life trying to prove himself over and over again and is known as the Knight who never sits still for very long; so, putting him in a small chamber below the depths of the castle would have had him wishing to join his comrades above in the defense of the kingdom.
But he has his orders also to where he is now.
And with his orders and by his blood he will defend his brother until his death if needed.

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

‘So you are Gawain’s daughter?’
‘Was…’
Joanshir and the stranger had arrived near the outside walls of the city where they rested and watched as hundreds if not thousands of armored vampires where attacking.
The stranger looked up as if trying to find the words to use as Joanshir was looking for something on the ground, which was, near a huge oak tree. As she was doing this he looked at her knowing he was looking at a person who should not exist in any way.
‘Your father saved my life when myself, Merlin, and Lancelot first battled these creatures. He was supposed to stay behind but many thought we were on a suicide mission and he did not wish to watch us die without him by our side trying to keep that from happening. And we would have if not for him.’
She found what she was looking for without acknowledging what he had said. She pulled from the ground an object. It was a circular disk. She reached it out for the stranger to take, ‘Hold onto this with me. It’s magic from Merlin. It will take us to the side of the King.’
The stranger took hold of the disk with a smile knowing what it was and both of them disappear.

Tin Universe Daily #240

#240

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

‘Perceival, is the dungeon secure?’
Perceival had entered the great hall of the castle to find Lancelot standing with King Arthur, Merlin, and Queen Guinevere.
‘I laid the magic’s Merlin gave us to keep them at bay. That was after killing eight of the creatures first and to my hand those evils are fierce fighters.’
Merlin was sitting in the King’s throne chair with a faraway look on his face but his speech came with full attention from all, ‘You should see the ones in the flesh world Knight.’
Everyone paid him no mind at the moment for they knew how at times of crisis Merlin usually faded off in thought for a while until forming plans.
Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere where standing by the famous round table itself and Perceival joined them there. Guinevere patted him on the face, ‘Perceival, you should rest.’
Perceival kissed her hand, ‘No time for rest my lady,’ he said before turning to Lancelot, ‘What is our next action? The magic’s of Merlin now have them kept from entering the castle but our people and fellow Knights are dying outside these walls.’
Lancelot smiled at his friend, ‘Merlin says they are after something or they would not be here. He is meditating on the subject now…’
The King jumped in, ‘But until he gets to the answer we need to defend our homes, our people.’
Guinevere smiled. She loves seeing how much he cares about his people.
Lancelot pulled a knife from his belt and began to carve out the shape of the castle on the sacred table and then the city and the city walls, ‘The word that came from Aggravaine is that Gawain has fallen. He found his body in the stables.’
Guinevere put her hand on Lancelot's and he pulled it away knowing her meaning, ‘No my lady I have heard nothing about Joanshir but I say she is out there fighting.’
Perceival sat down in a chair, ‘That girl is already one of the best fighters in the kingdom on heart alone. I say she is also.’
Lancelot spoke up again, ‘I think Perceival is right. No fear for her I think we need to have.’ Lancelot quickly changes subject, ‘Ector is leading the defense of the city. He quickly gathered all Defender Knights along with all of the people of Camelot to push back this undead march.’
The King walks over towards the thrones of Camelot and sits in Guinevere’s seat because Merlin was still in his, ‘And what of Mordred?’
Merlin stood up suddenly and began stretching his arms as if just awaken from a very long sleep, ‘Mordred is with his brother Ywain protecting my secrets. Now Lancelot what is our next move?’
Lancelot, who has always had a dislike of Merlin, but respected him out of the love his King had for the old wizard placed his knife back into his belt with force before turning to talk to Merlin, ‘That was what our waiting was for, to hear from you Warlock?’
Merlin pats the king on his head like a little child and then walked over to The Round Table, ‘I am awaiting a friend who just arrived.’
Merlin grabs an apple off the table, ‘Then we let the creatures in.’
That did not put the stunned look that sat on the faces of the others in the room. The statement of Merlin having a friend did it.

TIN UNIVERSE DAILY #236

#236

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

I hate the education of learning that a life is a lifeless joke,
Waking up to my face in the mirror dead with eyes no longer blue I turn to try,
Voting for rainbows is dreaming and believing,
Not much more than shooting at a penny because it lied,
The captain pulls on his boots for the dreaming is dying and so is his whole world,
The Record appears out of nowhere to try and push back that mighty horde,
We dance upon our fights and that gets us through this life,
But giving up is a choice that is there for choosing within all the strife,
Devil cheering goblins looking for me to…I turn and I try,

999999999

I need a tree where I can hang my head,
Maybe from a rope,
Hey, it was worth being said,
Who has not thought of ripping away their own life?
I could hang and swing and spin and dine on the bright beautiful and happy Florida sunshine,
I need a tree where I could hang my fate,
Because it seems, I’m trying at all of this too late,
This life is a pisser and listening hurts,
I hate waking up with the skin of a I’ve been doing this all the time shirt,
I need a tree where you can hang your hate,
Push it behind you because it is past its use by date,
I don’t know why you hang around inside,
You look into the mirror the same as I do,
You just claim to have never lied,
Hang a passage from The Book Of Squares,
Hang it upside down beside the ever-lasting flares,
Ignore your peace because it’s a gain of blood,
Hang it alongside yourself Mr. President all in love,
I need a tree to hang some words,
Maybe from some rips from those I’ve loved,
Take a little and here from those I’ve read,
Maybe just once before I’m dead,
Maybe I could hang and swing and spin and dine on something I’m proud of,
Something of mine,

999999999

It is nothing more than just a notion of trying to retrieve something within while dreaming. But it was also the time and place where the legends were taken…

TIN UNIVERSE DAILY #232

#232

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.

The structure within the desert setting was in appearance very large, about the size of an oilrig and very tall at that.
About the size of a skyscraper.
Two abouts is probably 1 too many.
It had barbwire like veins that moved in and out from the building that you could see within the metal like veins what appeared to be fingers, thousands of fingers floating through, up and down within a tan colored liquid.
The grounds just around the building were a tall growth of giant sized apple trees; which covered the fact that a very small wooden door laid at the front of the structure.
Funny enough the trees where giant but the apples where normal size.
Someone must love apples around this place.
The two older gentlemen we met earlier now are walking in their Napoleon outfits approaching one of the apple trees, one that sits right in front of the main, and seemly only entrance door.
‘Should the both of us be here? What if we end up trapped in Death’s realm… we will be the cause of the type of chaos we are here to try and stop?’
‘Death would not have even granted just one of us an audience.’
They began to dig through the huge pile of apples which were lying against the door until they finally had the area in front of the door clear. Then the door swung open without warning knocking them both to the ground.
‘I guess our presence is known?’
‘Can’t get much by this old bugger.’
‘And you can’t get much older than him either.’
One of the gentlemen peeked his head into the door, ‘You know the last time I was here they served sushi.’
The other one shoved him through the door, ‘For a creature that does not need to eat you sure are hungry a good deal of the time I’m around you… and I’m always around you.’
The older gentlemen walked through the darkness of many very empty and long corridors only guided by a floating flame candle and their own ability to see in the dark, though this dark was dark dark.
A shadow folded into a most terrible demise. That was what happens within this sort of darkness.
After a walk that was over an hour in time the gentlemen came upon a dining room with a long table that could sit fifty people easy on each side. At the long away from them end of the table was a fireplace and standing in front of the fireplace was a figure dressed all in green.
‘Welcome brothers.’

TIN UNIVERSE DAILY #228

#228

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah.
Utah!!!

In a corner of the Dream Trail, near The House Of Morning Droughts there was a bronze castle. It was a small castle the size of most American modern two-bedroom homes, but a castle none-the-less.
Within the castle walls there were decorations of names and places and poetry written within the bronze walls as if burned into them with something very sharp which was also very hot but used in a gently fashion.
The main entranceway into the castle opened from its double front doors into a gallery of hanging threads of pure gold about the size of a pencil in thickness and about 80 yards from one end to the other, from top to bottom; which shows you just how tall the ceiling is just inside the doorway.
It reminds somewhat of walking through the hippy beads some people have in their closet doorways in dorms.
You know what I mean.
You know.
From the main entrance you walk down a corridor; which leads to an end point at a circle end point with three doors. Each door was a different color of bronze. One was golden bronze, the other was silver bronze, and the one in the middle was a dark red bronze. Each had a different style of door handle-wooden, Victorian, and push button with a little blue light up button.
Have you ever noticed how powerful of a word “button” is?
Just me?
Ok.
Going through the silver bronze door we find two women calmly sitting around a campfire built into the center of the rooms white marble floor. The fire burned with yellow and black flames. The wood burning within the fire seemed to almost crackle like voices speaking names yet to be born.
One of the women, who had long brown hair and was wearing a long light blue dress was wearing roman style sandals and reading from a book; while the other was wearing a dark blue dress with black hair and no shoes and sitting playing a flute… or recorder, depending on where you’re from.
The woman reading put down her book.
Note the book cover was a cover of dancing fairies and blank pages within after the point she stopped reading, ‘A new prophecy has been spoken.’
The woman playing her flute barely moves it away from her lips before speaking and only then with a soft as silk voice, ‘The 9 are now a part of creation. I think my lady that all that has been created is changing.’
The fire continued to speak as it did in this place and the two women returned to what they had been doing as everything, everywhere was changed forever.
This happen at the beginning of time. Now. This will happen at the end of time.

TIN UNIVERSE DAILY #227

#227

There are so many versions of some stories.
Especially when a prospective to the title of The Pledge is screwing with reality in Utah and not even knowing she is doing so.

The Dream Trail is the parcel of imaginings, the domicile of sleepy time.
A young mind unknown to the part of her mind that lets her know that her mind is doing stuff is trying to change the way things happen.
But she isn’t there yet and thus here it goes.
The sort of power she has is dangerous and could have saved someone very brave but alas that isn’t to be here.
The individual this dream is happening to will never know the name of the young lady who tried to rescue her, even while she didn’t know she was doing so.
The dream was crushed… it was broken, and within the dream were images on shards of glass; which were lining the floor in a pattern like a shattered window massacre.
In this place hot in a nothingness of greying one spirit found herself beaten and defeated.
This place was part of what the woman called her life and her home.
This is an ending.
Little images on the floor like television promos featuring moments from birth to death.
The trap that had been sprung was laid out within the mind of a refugee who took his own life during the living of the dream. The in flesh person was pushed to that point from a bargain waged with a half demon called The Weapon. An innocent was sacrificed so a trap by forces of great power and malevolence could be sprung attacking a spirit who stood up for those in need of some sort of justice.
She could barely breathe. Moving at all is a struggle. Getting up to be situated on her knees took every ounce of strength she had remaining. Her gasps keeping her chest heaving in and out and her eyes were cast down looking upon her own blood stained hands caused each moment of life to sound out like perpetual discomfort.
Her clothes were shredded, blood soaked and damaged like her body. Once she traveled The Dream Trail famously dressed in what some would call her costume. She saw it as her uniform of service. She always wore those red boots that came from a dream about the old west and those black leather overalls she got from the dreams of a lustful Goth boy in Winnipeg. She was an image to behold if there ever was one to fit that phrase.
Out from within the shattered dream came the scavengers of The Dream Trail, The Burial. The peering white of the exhausted trance was split into sharp cuts for them to pass through.
The Burial are a one-conciseness being who have survived within thousands of bodies created from the leftover substances of forgotten dreams.
On average The Burial stand at around five feet in height with dark red skin, two legs, and they have one arm that reaches out from the side of their bodies. Their hands have huge claws with fingers that can grow at will to unimaginable lengths.
A flood of them came out from the broken cracks of The Dream Trail; which is where they live within to begin animalistic movements to circle her. She had not even noticed them when as one they stood over her dripping an oozing green liquid from their eyes.
She was still in another place as one of The Burial began to speak in an almost imploded speech volume, ‘We finally have you. After so many life times we get to feed on your spirit.’
Another of The Burial moves one of its long fingernails down her back though she does not move and it kept cutting until it was cutting deep enough to touch her spine. It turns one of its fingernails chipping a little at one of the bones of her spin, ‘You stood up for the flesh ones against The Spiders. That was foolish.’
A whisper comes from her mouth but it almost sounded more like it was coming from above, ‘I may… this da… but 8 more shall follow me… Mary’s hear my words.’
Fingers grow, fingernails reach out, and mouths open ready to eat.
She was called Mash. Once she stood in front of a throne as a noble Sovereign from an ancient planet called Headlingsi. A warrior who led her armies to many victories and whose people died out so long ago that they are gone even to the memories of the oldest of creations races. She was not known to many to be The Dream Healer and one day will be forgotten in total but her life was with purpose and the future will tell that, in time…

NO REFILL: WAIT UNTIL THE SUNSET DIES- PART 30

He has always thought all they did was work, build in a sort, in the sort of weird ways things are built within The Dream Trail.
But now as he fights, he fights side by side with the Work Penguins Of The Dream Trail to return to the spot from which the Napoleons can retrieve him and his mission.
Living within The Dream Trail is a existence of fragments, of moments, of quotes, of micro fiction.

NO REFILL: WAIT UNTIL THE SUNSET DIES- PART 29

As the last of the defending citizens fell Delta made his way back to the doorway of the castle where he grasped Mark by the wrist once again and started pulling him as they rushed through the bodies lying on the ground near braking Mark’s wrist as he pulled him along not like someone saving someone but someone pulling a dead carcass to the butcher.
Leaving the gates of the city Delta saw another obstacle in front of him and keeping him from fulfilling his mission. This time it was an army, an army with its commander and the cities ruler standing at the front of his warriors leading them and standing with them.

NO REFILL: WAIT UNTIL THE SUNSET DIES- PART 28

Delta let go of Mark’s wrist for the first time since pulling him almost unwilling from his cell. Now he stands at the doorway from the castle looking out into the area directly in front of it to see over a hundred citizens of the city armed with pitch forks, kitchen knives, and shovels.
Mark stood up from having his hands on his knees to see the sight, ‘They are standing up to defend their city and their ruler.’
Delta at first seemed to not hear Mark’s words but then he turned to look at him, ‘And now they aren’t people in my eyes.’
