It
was the beginning for the 2nd Shift crowd. Retail work has curses and one of
those is the 2nd Shift change of shift curse. This curse states that no matter
how slow or boring the place of work was for the shift before that you will be
jumping right into Hell to begin your work day.
Another
Retail curse is the open boxes of condoms bet for stores that sale those types
of enemies of the Catholic Church items.
“THE
POPE FEARS RUBBERS!”
“THE
POPE FEARS RUBBERS!” can be heard during shift changes at many such places.
The
crowds were mostly workers from the local ten cent gas station, not ten cent
for gas of course but ten cent for the items sold within. The crew of the
Shipping Fish Seafood Bar cannot stand the people who work at the station
because their boss lets them drink at work.
Tracie
really can’t stand the station for the fact that her former boyfriend Net works
there and loves to come in with his new girlfriend and boss Jakey and throw around
tips to everyone but her.
Tracie’s
coworkers Jason, the cook, Misty the other waitress, and Daisey the cashier
share their tips from him with her because as Misty has said, ‘Guys a dick.’
Jason
stands out from the kitchen location as himself, Daisey, and Tracie watch Misty
serve Net and his new friends their drinks and fish fingers, ‘You know I always
told you, you should have just fucked me instead of him.’
Daisey,
Tracie, and Misty all slap him in the head.
