Viking Section
M7VS
or Viking Section is a secret arm, for the most part, sort of, of the Security
Service of the British Empire. It’s the United Kingdom’s search for under
secrets. The original origin and still main focus of Viking Section is the
quest for The Philosopher’s Stone.
Although mainly concerned with the search for
The Philosopher’s Stone Viking Section also helps out other sections of the Security
Services when they come across something they haven’t encountered before or
long term supernatural related investigations. Their intersection work ends up
being helpful because of the vast amounts of knowledge Viking Seciton has
hoarded over the decades.
Within
Security Services it’s known also as Box 1313 as that was the address of its
WWII wartime vaults and headquarters. Viking Section’s modern base of
operations is unknown even to most of the other Security Service sections.
Because
of Viking Section’s long history within the British government and firm
connection to the Royal Family, the reason behind its original formation as
stated before, it has almost ultimate ability to work its operations within The
British Empire and allied nations.
History Of Viking Section
Early
years: Viking Section started out under the title The Improved Compassionate
And Shielding Order Of Tears To The World as an offshoot of Oddfellowship during
Britain’s battles with invading Viking forces. When one such Viking brought
with him a parchment detailing a possible location of the legendary
Philosopher’s Stone the Royal Court ordered the formation of a group, partially
made up of captured and turned Vikings to find the stone to make the Royal
Family immortal.
After mentions of names and
stories here and there, all over the world about the order the group passed
away from anything being written about it until a document that surfaced in top
secret hands during WWI.
So many were dying in the bloody
trench warfare during that a goal was set forth to protect Queen and country at any cost and the
order rose once again now under the official title of Viking Section and the
duty was restarted under a modern team.
During the war the team
travelled the world searching for the stone, gaining knowledge and insight
along every step.
After
the war it is not known if the section continued or stopped but the official
word was its operations were halted during “peace” times.
Second
World War: The war in Europe ended with the invasion of Germany by the Western
Allies. Britain knowing the Soviet Union and United States would not hold to
agreements on seizing Nazi scientists and relics for themselves, so called
spoils of war, during the war; so they dug up Viking Section to find and get
ahold of Nazi under secrets.
Viking
Section’s role in counter-terrorism: With the rise of terrorist attacks on
British soil and the growing fear about Beyond Humans, Special Branch asked
Viking Section to have an olive branch agent ready to help when it comes to
gathering information, creating counter terrorism procedures, and helping with
possible under secret terrorism involvement.
Serious
crimes: Along with helping with counter-terrorism from time to time Viking
Section has reached out to give information to Serious Crimes but almost always
they do this without anyone knowing it’s them doing it and it always has to be
on their terms, you can’t reach out to them.
Surveillance:
With all the information Viking Section has obtained in its existence they have
been very valuable at times when it comes to surveillance help with the rest of
the government.
Viking Section current operations team consists
of:
Operations
Head: The head of Viking Section operations is Robert Gilligan, codename
Spotlight. A former MI5 agent, highly decorated, and known within government
controls as someone you don’t cross. Most politicians won’t even mention Viking
Section in fear of what information Robert might use against them.
And
he would.
Gilligan
put together the new Viking Section team after the previous team went into a
deep cover with identities cleaned to continue a search for the Philosophers
Stone. Many think this was just a cover operation created by Gilligan because
Viking Section already had the stone in their possession and doesn’t want to
turn it over the Royal Court.
Even
his team doesn’t have much contact with Gilligan and all orders, assignments,
and notes coming through his assistant of operations. Scull Doe.
Assistant
Head Of Operations: Scull Doe is a former Royal Marine who flew helicopter
rescue missions in many areas of combat. She was recruited by Gilligan to be
his assistant after she flew a copter rescuing injured U.S. and British
soldiers; while also combating a Beyond Human who had attacked peace keeping
forces in South Africa.
While
her main job is to be the go between Gilligan and the team, she is also the
person who put together the team in fact while Gilligan was busy explaining the
former teams mission to the Queen herself.
Field
Team Leader: Gator Raid is an American agent and his real identity is a secret
even from his team who was assigned to work with Viking Section as part of a
shared operation with a U.S. group close to what Viking Section is within the
U.S. government.
Agent
Of Words: The Agents of Words has been a part of Viking Section since its
beginning. They are the ones charged with knowing all and being able to use the
Sections knowledge like a weapon. They are recruited at a very early age and
schooled in secret.
Agent
Of Electricity: Another member of Viking Section that’s been a part of it for a
very long team are the Agents Of Electricity who came to be during the rise of
technology and many think they are a link to Techno Mages and the origin of
that clan of magical folk.
Weapon Master: John Jon Williamson is a former
assassin who is kept in check by an implant in his skull. A Beyond Human with
the power to master any weapon or form of combat in quick fashion.
