A First Shot Fired
Part 10

BREAKING NEWS: Did the CIA target rescuers at sites of drone attacks in Afghanistan? …

BREAKING NEWS: Nebraska candidate for governor blames rape of three elderly women on too relaxed laws on Beyond Humans even though the men caught who raped them have been proven to have no Beyond Human abilities…

BREAKING NEWS: Being unemployed sucks, being called for jury duty when you had a chance at a job interview really sucks…

Some would say the very nature of trying to live in the modern world is an adaption to chaos. It’s about being able to shape your steps without the formula of what has directed the course of the past. Our questions for surviving the future may have to do with how well we can finger paint turmoil and not come out of it with it being an exercise for the insane.
The fear of this has more and more people reaching for some sort of uniformity to make them feel comfortable about the way the course of history is going. Human nature has always been one of safety within a comfort zone. That’s why hunger, bigotry, and imperial nationalism still exists.
Uniformity just sounds like a bad word doesn’t it? Well, it does to me. Just one of those words when spoken, heard, or read tweeks at the things that tell you this isn’t right. Ok, it doesn’t affect you in that way but it does really bother others in extremes. It has that effect on Chris Friday also.
And that’s the way a lot of other humans see it. Just get over yourself because that is the way a lot of humans see it. Seems that a lot of the discourse in the world today is about whether adaption and a giving up identity are worth security and protection.
The reasons behind a lot of human conflict and violence can come down to some sort of fight against some form or another of uniformity, even though most of the time these fights lead to an embracement of another form of uniformity to try and accomplish goals.
Humans are just a strange.
To a lot of us any talk of uniform… it just irks. It’s nasty and compels you to rebel against even using it in a sentence. This reaction is just something that exists within some people and maybe at the core of what drives humanities progress and has always been since the first chemical reaction.
When you play around with the definition of Uniformitarianism, “An assumption that the same natural laws and processes that operate in the universe now have operated in the universe in the past and apply everywhere in the universe.” You might come out of that definition knowing why uniformity is such an attraction to so many and also why it’s such a repellant to so many others.
Uniformitarianism was coined by William Whewell. You can Wikipedia him, I did, then I forgot most of what I read about him. He is the same theologian who came up with the term catastrophism as a set of ideas that the Earth is shaped by a series of sudden violent acts.
When I think of that with Uniformity I think about a society that preaches individuality but not at the price of a strong uniform system, no matter if said system is broken or corrupt. Denying our basic way of being, which is that violent causes a sort of violence that lives in uniformity, lives in stagnation.
We wear uniformity comfortably because we deny the violent nature that shapes our lives. It’s an imprisonment of hope. From giving in to the slow turn to losing rights right out from under us to the lies of depression.
The military functions on uniformity, a lot of jobs are done well only by the way of uniformity. But it’s not just in the military and our jobs where we confirm. You can see why uniformity is needed in those places, hell the whole social contract is confirmed to a set way of living life.
We confirm in what knowledge we except out of stupidity, in our beliefs out of fear, and in the things that entertain us… well, also out of stupidity. Why else would reality TV be so popular.
In the modern world we have disguised uniformity in false individuality as we strive to create a personal brand identity in hopes that others will like it and dress themselves in our personal skins. For examples see Twitter, Facebook, Cafépress, Blogger. One of the biggest goals a lot of people have is celebrity, to be part of a pack of superstars.
So out of that culture mindset they are those who might just be one of our few hopes left of true individuality. They are schisms in the box that so many are agreeing to live within.
Banks, Darryl, and Faith are creatures of identity destruction. Even though they don’t have any Beyond Human powers as such, they are very comparable to legendary Chameleons, though Chameleons with dissociative identity disorder.
They change almost everything they are on a daily basis. This is how they have survived off the grid for so long. Around their few friends the changes are mainly of cloths, like/dislikes, and stories of their pasts.
If Chris or Sergeant Luke want a straight answer they have to use a daily code word giving to each of them every morning, otherwise it’s a task of interacting with a different person, a stranger, who you have a day to get to know and get inside to see how they operate every day.
This at first drove Sergeant Luke crazy but slowly he has been seeing the possibilities this might offer them in the future.
How they got to this way of living isn’t known. They aren’t sharing and even if they did you probably couldn’t believe them. The two other friends of theirs that Chris might both had two different stories. One that they are all siblings wanted by the government, the other that they escaped a government facility and are now on the run.
Neither of those are the truth but let’s play in a little mystery from time to time for fun.
One of the few character traits they keep with each identity is loyalty to their few friends.
I just thought about it but what do you think, wouldn’t Identity Destruction make a great rock band name?
Whether either Banks, Darryl, and Faith actually suffer from dissociative identity disorder is unknown but Chris doesn’t think so because they talk about the switches of identity traits from time to time like it’s a character they are portraying in a 24/7 play but a different role each day.
Sergeant Luke wished his undercover cops were even close to this good adapting a new identity as these three were.
Since getting a straight answer from any of them, even when using the given code word, about their pasts is near impossible he hasn’t even thought much about if they are this way because of a severe trauma. His personal theory is the world has just cracked them in a different way than it cracked him or Chris.
No matter what one thing remains the same about each of them and that is Banks is a doctor and sometimes a nurse, Darryl is an all-around genius, and Faith is a hacker beyond measure.
Chris had meet each of them, several times each in fact, before a mutual friend introduced them at an underground club for hackers and those trying to stay away from Big Brother Reach and the like.
Big Brother Reach being the codename for the N.S.A.’s raw information gathering operation that is also developing an A.I. component.
But I’m just telling you that as an FYI and because it’s something I’d like to explore sometime in the future.
Today has been mainly a rest day for Chris after pretty much day after day of training in one shape or form but it is also a day that he has been eyeing for a while now.
Ever since they put together their base team Sergeant Luke has been avoiding Banks, Darryl, and Faith as much as he can.
He has had to work with them a lot but honestly they creep him out a lot.
So with a few days off from training Chris has used the time to try, as much as he can, to get to know his team and lunch is always good for conversation, even if you are having lunch with an unfamiliar person each time you sit down.
‘It’s been a weekend since…,’ Chris
‘You and the sergeant went all fisticuffs.,’ Banks
‘Yea, and I’m still bruised all over,’ Chris
Chris and Banks were eating in the Popeys Pillar base cafeteria. A baby blue painted large room with lots of tables and chairs and a well-stocked kitchen. Once it offered meals to military men, now its meals go towards five individuals on a mission of their own.
People talk about an army marching on its stomach and that’s one of the reasons the cafeteria was one of the first sections of the base Sergeant Luke wanted to get back up and running like new.
It took three days for Sergeant Luke to get everything cleaned up and ready to work. Darryl helped a lot with that. Though having a helpful technician one day and a pig headed one the next did slow down things a bit. Good thing all were still geniuses either way.
They all cook from time to time but Darryl has become the main cook adapting a different chef personality for each day’s menu when he cooked. A genius in the kitchen can be a truly amazing thing no matter what he’s cooking because cooking is chemistry after all.
The piss angry British stereotype chef personality is one that they never like when one of those pops up. It always has everyone deciding on cereal, hotdogs, and instant noodles on those days.
Today for lunch is southern fried chicken with smashed bacon tators and beers.
‘You have nothing broken except for a slightly cracked rib,’ Banks said from her sports doctor personality of today.
‘Slightly cracked says the person who doesn’t have a cracked rib,’ Chris
‘Just need to needle you up at game time is all,’ Banks
Darryl brings their food and sits down with them, ‘Eat up, a lot of good lard in that chicken.’
Like any good southern chef he ate as he cooked and tested the food.
Banks started in on her plate but Chris was just staring at his. He wasn’t distracted with a fear kind of worry but a possible embarrassment sort of worry. Very high school.
‘Today, isn’t it uniform day?’ Darryl
‘I’ve been dreading this,’ Chris as he played with his smashed tators.
The intercom system whistled on, ‘Chris, I need you in the Staging Area.’
Chris chugged his beer in one go and then stood, ‘I’m surprised Faith isn’t around for this?’
‘No matter the personality, hackers are never very social,’ Banks said showing one of the signs that cropped up that they totally understand what they’re doing.
Chris exited the cafeteria heading for the Staging Area. He should have eaten earlier, that fried chicken looked good and it’s never as good the next day.
The Staging Area is the place you go before heading out on a mission. A place to check your equipment and get any last minute instructions. Also called a Go Area or a Time To Puke Area as a lot of people do that right before a mission.
Chris couldn’t help but see the symbolism in the place where Sergeant Luke would be showing him his combat uniform. After all symbolism is the whole point of him wearing a uniform in the first place.
On the walk there Chris thought about how all of this started. About the lessons, the bruises, and the long overnight talks about what they were going. What could happen, what was probably going to happen, good and bad.
Today is the beginning of tomorrow and tomorrow being chaos, tomorrow is the fight against the uniformity of good enough.

BREAKING NEWS: Uruguay government says they have found the bones of the first human being and it will give their people the power to rise up to the level of the most powerful nations on the planet. In other news Uruguay have also set a course to legalizing marijuana. And in after thought news many wonder what they are smoking…

It’s stupid when I’m sitting here writing something to start a vignette with in an attempt to make it stretch into a short story. That’s the laziest of writing and so shameful I’m going to go eat something terrible for my body just to punish myself.
Speaking of that shame writing something. Something like the rudeness of someone picking a fight with you in a bar to test and see what the rest of your gang might do. Not that I have a gang or part of a gang or even have enough friends for a threesome… how did we get onto threesomes?
You have such a dirty mind you people.
Writing something like how I never got to go to see the local roller derby team and discuss how I think it was actually invented by Aztecs; which could lead to a few paragraphs, but padding a story never gets a writer anywhere, it never does anyone any good, and it in the end is best just to get on with things as it unfolds naturally.
Something like those paragraphs never happens to good writers.
Something that did happen but shifting a little to the side: The old Gods did leave the Earth for a destination of The Edge Of The Universe to wait for humanity to die out.
Well, one group stayed at reduced powers and another went to sleep. This all happen a while back but most of the Gods covered in Mythology classes are no longer around.
Yes, including the guy with a hate on for nails and crosses.
Something that did not happen: The Mayan End Of The World Prediction. We didn’t even get any good end of the world movies out of it. Nothing but crap shit and once again I had something else take spotlight away from my birthday. Isn’t it enough that wanker Jesus has done it every year since my year one.
Something that almost never happens is Pulpy, the most powerful being on the planet, flying through the sky and being suddenly knocked out of said sky like a lucky God finger had flicked a fly.
Something that in normal circumstances looked like a rather graceful image. That something being Pulpy flying. But the sight of what just happen had to be pretty unusual to see if a person who been looking up at the sky at that point of sight, at that point of time, had seens it.
Something unusual in his everyday nature, no matter how long he has been flying through the skies of our world is a man, six feet in height, though when flying it’s more in length. A man with hair that flows behind him and when standing it sits on his shoulders with an end tip touch. It’s actually a very 1980’s haircut. His uniform covers almost his whole body in a one-piece body suit except for his hands, thighs down, and his head. The remaining bits of the uniform is made up of boots that are further than dull and a cape connected to his uniform by shoulder pads attached to each shoulder. The uniform is also decorated in what looks like metal stars the size of a normal man’s palm but are actually a great deal more than just decoration and are in fact control discs that enhance and grant him most of his abilities.
With all of that this standout figure has a tattoo which looks like a lightning bolt that goes from his forehead, down over his right eye, and stops at his chin. Many think that tattoo is just a tattoo but it’s actually a rank, and not really a lightning bolt but instead a stripe of honor and a symbol of his true name.
Something knocked Pulpy out of the sky and sent him tumbling in the air for miles. It really isn’t that easy to catch him off guard considering one of those discs I spoke of before enhances all of his senses to a superh… Beyond Human level. Plus, all of his movements are tracked by a radar unit that is part of Operation Pulpy, which is basically another branch of the U.S. military.
Something like two minutes passed during those miles were he was actually unconscious; which is really saying something hit him really hard.
To catch him off guard, that’s an accomplishment that many haven’t been able to do, knocking him unconscious even for a few minutes, this means you are something beyond the normal that he has encountered.
Wonder if I can start every paragraph in this story with “Something?”
Ooops, cocked that up in rewrites.
Pulpy was on his way to Mexico when he was attacked. He always liked the times he had spent in Mexico that didn’t involve him punching something or being a tool of intimidation.
To him he has never quite understood the hostility between United States towards Mexico. Even historically it really doesn’t make any sense. America has always set itself up as a people of the soil, a hard working nation, but if you look those same ways of thinking could also be applied to Mexico.
But with relations between the U.S. and Mexico at its most hostile status Pulpy had not found the chance to visit it in a long time.
As far as Pulpy taking part in the affairs of the Mexican government, he doesn’t, most of the time they act like they don’t want him involved in their affairs. Well, that’s until there’s a Beyond Human wreaking havoc or to clean up after a really big ass global warming storm.
The Mexican government in this circumstance asked the United States if Pulpy could help with a cruise ship collision that’s happen right off the coast and because their government is collapsing they didn’t have one ship or plane that could have come close to handling the situation.
Not the first time a Mexican cruise ship has made the news of late and will not be the last since a company in the country bought a number of no longer being used cruise ships out of Florida and gave them a new paint job and sent them out. Since then it has been one bad story after another.
The first one was the “shit ship” as a lot of headlines came to address it as. 1,200 people trapped on a ship, that to begin with didn’t stock enough food for its four-day voyage, and after two days out at sea the engines cut out shutting down every function of the ship such as running water, running electricity, and running toilets.
Take a cruise, the adventure might be in how you find a way of surviving the voyage.
Maybe I’ll write a story based on a cruise ship one day but I’m still pissed about the crappy cruise we went on, wounds are still too open to even write something within those thoughts yet.
The second the impact hit Pulpy the first sensory reaction that his body took in was a slight smell of very old human feces. I’m talking very old. That scent that has a little smell of cannibalism in it.
Our first reaction to just about any situation is usually one of odor. Most of the time we don’t notice it but it’s true.
The missile like object which hit him was made of a special clay mixture and contained a cocktail of ancient drugs, plagues, human excrement, and Angel spit.
Pulpy finally landed in a crash landing manner, very roughly near a pond, and his bad day continued to get worse as he noticed right away that he cracked one of his uniform discs, the one that allowed him breathe in a vacuum. He still could hold his breath for a good while but a long sustained campaign was a no go.
He will have to put faith in his team to try and reconstruct a new disc to replace it but that’s something to worry about later.
He lifted himself up and out of the impression his impact made in the mud that circled the pond.
You might call that a shoreline but I say beach like area, what can I say, I’ve lived in Florida for too long.
He just hoped no newspaper cameras or any cell phones with cameras were around because it is always meme city for months whenever he gets his uniform messy. People are still sharing that one from California last year on Facebook. It just won’t go away.
Being the focus of memes and such internet nonsense for years was never something he cared for but he was unseated from that honor as most memed by Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fessbender, and that guy who plays Loki.
He stopped wiping the mud off his uniform when he noticed it was unnaturally quite where he had fallen out of the sky. Not just no sounds of cameras but no sounds of bugs or other nosey noises that show you things are alive around you.
You might stand somewhere and think there are is no sound but when Pulpy is standing around and there are no sounds whatsoever it’s not a good thing.
No tree branches brisling in the wind, no sounds of pond waves, and no sound of anything that is normal for a man who has heightened hearing to notice.
Like I said, when he isn’t hearing anything it means something is very wrong.
The silence was starting to unnerve him a bit, a shock to the system, like you waking up in the morning all of a sudden with no hearing at all and no sight and no sense of smell. Imagine that and you could start to try to know why he is unnerved.
Then there came sound once again into his hearing at first as a low decimal buzz and then slowly other natural things kicked back in like a formerly stopped soundtrack.
Catching his eyes, and taking his attention away from the newly restarted soundtrack, was the sight of many breeds of birds circling above his head. Way above his head, not just barely above like in an old school cartoon…. Never mind.
Before he could get his bearings about anything, including the unusual variety of gathering bird species, one of the many discs on his uniform and implanted within his body, one of the ones still working, was telling him his body was under attack by an unknown substance on a cellarer level.
There were hardly any viruses or germs or the like on Earth that affected him in any way. The guy eats uncured sushi beef for God’s sake; so this again was something else to take a piss on his normal state of things.
His focus on that bit of information was interrupted as he looked down at his feet to find them covered in snakes. That most defiantly was starting to feel like someone was testing him to see what things would maybe fuck with his mind.
That or the snakes was part of him being trapped in a cheap 1970’s horror film.
But the snakes weren’t from a horror film and he like Eve wasn’t afraid of snakes mainly because their bites couldn’t break through his uniform more less his skin.
Eve is just a badass in general.
But the sight was of these snakes was creepy so he moved away from them and ended up backing into an eight-foot-tall bust statue of an old king.
Pulpy turned around when it started talking.
And thusly the weird continued.
‘This planet shouldn’t be any of your concern, you weren’t even born here,’ Big King Head Thingee spoke with a boom.
‘Were you the one who attacked me?’ Pulpy asked the unique sight speaking to him.
The head started hopping around in a weird route to the pond in a circling path, ‘That would be the Eagle Knights. They are our pantheons warriors.’
‘Pantheon, as in Gods?’ Pulpy inquired.
‘God is a varied term. There are a small growing group of humans who have taken to worshipping you.’
‘Misguided people.’
‘Some would say that is true of all people of any faith.’
‘I wouldn’t.’ Pulpy stated.
‘Good public relations answer.’
Pulpy ignored him as you really should a smart ass hopping giant king statue head.
‘Where can I find these Eagle Knights?’ Pulpy asked.
‘Not yet but soon enough as they are testing for the coming war.’
‘What? Just to warn you I hate riddles.’ Pulpy said as he was starting to anger.
‘There are no riddles in war.’
‘What war?’
‘They are coming back from a sleep to claim all the lands they have touched. I think you call them Mexico and South America. But don’t hold me to those lands, they didn’t have maps in my day.’
The head hopped into the pond while shouting something about returning the Earth to the clams.
As the head turned over and sank Pulpy was attacked by several Were-Jaguars, the name is a self-description description. Their fierceness was all up to your imagination.
I think they’re from Olmec Mythology.
That or from a bad dream after too much cake.
Every time Pulpy threw one of them off another one recovered and attacked again. The Were-Jaguars were quick and a pain in the ass to fight, and not just because of the smell that was like spoiled milk and the cackling growl, it was also because they were as mean as shit.
Were-Jaguars are as mean as shit. You should note that for future reference.
If it wasn’t out there in bold clear letters a Were-Jaguar was like a mixture of a wolf and a jaguar. Again those two are in the name but you can also mix in a little diseased pit fighting vulture. They sense when a strong enemy is at a weak point ready to be attacked. They get that from the little bit of vulture in their blood.
The attack from the Were-Jaguars stopped when a giant snake came up from under Pulpy’s feet and slowly started to swallow him, the snakes tongue wrapped around him keeping him from struggling away.
After the snake finished swallowing him and went back into the ground a man appeared in body armor and a big bird helmet.
Not that Big Bird, an in general big bird.
Pulpy blacked out for a length of time and forgot where he was and started thinking about the sword, his honor sword that had been missing ever since he first arrived on Earth.
A little voice, that of a child with an Irish accent, for some reason it had an Irish accent, whispered in his ears that he would find his sword one day, soon, but after he found it he would lose his honor.
When he came back from the whispers he was choking on his own saliva. The sensors built within his uniform kept telling him he was nowhere or maybe within a dwarf star. The sensors were confused.
The discs under his skin and on his uniform weren’t giving back much information at all but the translated gibberish of X’s and O’s were something like “This is fucked up.”
His eyes and ears were burning with the words of the undead. Every memory of death, every touch of killing from a flower to a human being to a member of his own race was being passed through his mind at a slow frame rate to make sure he didn’t miss the most painful parts.
He pushed out against the breathing flesh and once he got his arms in front of the rest of his body he started grabbing flesh and organs and pulling himself deeper and deeper into the snake’s insides.
It’s something he can only do once a day but this was a good time for something you can only do once a day so he used energy beams from his eyes to burn an opening into some flesh.
He climbed through the opening and found himself up against an egg, within a womb, and then after continuing the journey he was back inside another part of the snake’s belly where he finally found the anus and maneuvered himself out to find that he was now inside a chamber somewhere that was decorated with torches and skulls.
The chamber gave his whole body the feeling like the instant of being shocked after dragging your socked feet across the carpet.
The snake slithered off into a dark doorway after giving Pulpy a very pissed off look. Understandable, it may have tried to eat you but was burning a hole in its womb wall really a very a nice thing to do?
Pulpy was preoccupied trying to concentrate his body into pushing out the toxins that were messing with his mind. He had to risk maybe being caught off guard again to try to get a handle of what was happening to him.
As the snake left, through another doorway came hundreds of child sized skeletons holding knifes and giving out a creepy bone on bone rattling sound.
They attacked Pulpy taking him out of his concentrated state. Every time he hit one of them they screamed in pain and he felt their moment of death as if it was his own. This kept happening until he collapsed from psychic shared existences attacking him.
Feeling others pain isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Neither is being knocked out of the sky, being lectured by a hopping giant head, being attacked by Were-Jaguars, and being eaten by a giant snake.
Oh, forgot the kid’s skeletons.
Pulpy woke up on a random road in Mexico feeling like he was having the worst drug hangover ever. A feeling no one still living had ever felt the morning after really getting fucked up. Not that he knew what that hangover feeling was, his body didn’t allow him to get drunk or high but if he could this is the feeling if he was really fucked up from a seven-day drunk night or OD party.
His discs weren’t working at all and his uniform sensors were being very whinny; so he set about walking until they clicked back online. It’s sort of like pushing your truck to try and kickstart it.

Later when Pulpy got back in control of his discs and met up with some of his handlers at a nearby United States military base just over the border from Mexico.
‘So do you consider this a real threat?’ asked one of the handlers after Pulpy explained what he had experienced.
‘I believe a plan of watching and preparation is needed.’
‘Noted. We will assign more eyes to watching Mexico.’
As he was leaving the room Pulpy staggered a bit. Something that no one in this room had ever seen from him.
‘Maybe you should see one of our doctors?’
‘I’m fine, it’s all in my report. My medical disc will adapt from the information acquired and keep it from happening again. They won’t be able to attack me the same way.’
Riding up in an elevator from the underground meeting area he couldn’t help but wonder the words that had been spoken to him. So many ancient voices have spoken of what the future holds for him and humanity. He’s a soldier, he will be prepared. He is a warrior; he is always ready for a war.
Once he reached the surface as the elevator emptied out into a storage shed; which he walked from, he stood for a minute before launching himself up into the air back towards Mexico and back to the task of trying to save lives

The Crow Store Discs
Part One: Boring Secrets

The following is part of a large collection of writings found on floppy discs in a metal box in a Vancouver bus station. All together there were seven novels, several books of poetry, film scripts, TV pilots, and many other forms of storytelling. Everything from song lyrics to church hymns.
They have gone on to become a famous group of writings that has grown in thier following when they were first typed up by the man who found them and placed them on the internet.
Whether they are the writings of a professional writer who lost his discs or a failed writer who gave up and tossed his dreams away, no one knows.
Now a huge legal battle is brewing over the movie rights to the writings. They are presented here as originally written after the writer of this was paid to view and make copies of the originals

Chapter One
2006, Maybe the philosophers know what these times are about? What the history which is following means? Patrica Dexter, a young student of philosophy once said to her little sister Agatha after they spotted a religious book on the end of the world that- “Maybe we had our run.”
Patrica came to that with a BA in Philosophy. Agatha just has a bad attitude and she’s a cheerleader. This was only mentioned, her being a cheerleader because she is also a very smart young lady and the two together are a rare mix.
Let’s say we don’t like the answer given to us by the philosophers, how about the faiths? The religions? What do the beliefs and religious leaders have to say about this time of history? Well, they were asked the questions and they started to talk but most after hearing them speak for a few minutes either told them to shut up and climb back on the cross or as Jason Steel, a transgender minimum wage mall poll taker took to the extreme and nailed a few Catholic priests to yellow villain old oak trees.
So after intelligent talk from the philosopher, religious, political leaders… well, the politicians were allowed to speak, maybe the times of 2006 would turn out to not be one about answers but as Mcintee Knoll is discovering while sitting in his car just after being fired from his line cook job answers are there, best embrace them or they will kick your ass.
Mcintee Knoll technically was fired for his ability for burning just about anything. It is hard for a restaurant owner, even one you once slept with on a drunken night, to keep from firing you when you burn everything from three cheese casserole to mash potatoes.
But to be fair to Mcintee he is an excellent cook but found himself distracted by Blondie Keeyman, who you have to know had Blondie fans for parents.
Blondie Keeyman…….

German Forest

BREAKING NEWS: The U.S. government is refusing to release a number of college students in Texas who were arrested protesting outside the state capital building, citing terrorist connection concerns…

BREAKING NEWS: Teacher armed under new gun laws passed in Arkansas shoots middle school student she thought was Beyond Human, was actually performing magic tricks during lunch break…

BREAKING NEWS: Is the U.S. government helping China track down pro-democracy citizens in exchange for them providing a location for a secret Beyond Human prison? …

No matter the treaties and surface appearance showing no nation is going to leave themselves weaponless and reliant on an unreliable ally unless they have to. This is especially true if a nation recently found out there was a plan at one time by people they now call allies to wipe them all off the face of the Earth.
Never underestimate the depths of darkness humans will swim into for survival.
This has to example by something that happen near the end of World War 2.
Towards the end of the war a secret meeting was held at a small British seashore village. The truth is at the end of the war secret meetings were taking place all over the world with many powers trying to carve out their stake in the world.
The war created shock waves that ripped throughout the world on just about every level.
This particular seashore meeting consisted of several representatives from the British military, an American who made everyone uneasy, and a German double agent who did a lot to help the war effort but now was wondering where his place would be, if he had any place at all.
They were the first to discuss the full details of what the Nazis had done. All the information hadn’t reached the rest of the world yet but they also weren’t trying to make any effort to hold this information out because there was no way of keeping it down.
That much death and that much evil could not be filed away for only certain eyes to know about.
The only subject of discussion at this meeting was about what action, if any would be taken against the German population as a whole for the sins of their government. There are some very dangerous points in history when humanity could tip over and civilization collapsed. This was one of those moments.
There was a lot of shouting and tossing of chairs between those at the meeting but a plan was agreed upon and hatched into operation at the meeting.
It was the only course, the only action that would cover their tracks for any possible future judgment and also wipe every person who ever supported the German war effort in any way off the planet.
From that meeting came the mission to track down and find a very powerful book that could help them accomplish this task. History is littered with stories and tales about powerful books. Some of these stories are just that, stories, but others are true.
Two years was spent after the war looking for The Bible Of The Orchid Secret, one of the most powerful of sacred texts, but finally the search was called off. Political attitudes had changed, wounds were healing, and horror was being replaced as it started to become history.
Germany Forest is one of Germany’s secret answers to living in a world of Beyond Humans and the only legal one being a very powerful being called Pulpy working for the United States.
The United States being one of those current allies they have learned a great deal about after a defection back to their side from a deep black place within the U.S. government.
And for payment for showing them they could only trust and rely on themselves the German government rewarded this man by putting him in charge of their own little secret plan.
This top secret German operation involves weaving things formally worn by Gods into human flesh. An attempt to mate the skin of the Gods with the skin of humanity all in the name of protecting the German people.
To many of Germanic heritage myth and the modern world have never been separated but what’s going on here is an attempt to birth something new and they should have known better, they should have been scared about what they were doing but just as World War Two was a tipping point so is another one coming.
One of the most common Beyond Human abilities is different degrees of advanced healing. Most people don’t even know they have this ability. They just never get sick and can seemingly take a great deal of punishment.
But many people know about this type of Beyond Human ability. These seminally lucky individuals have unluckily found themselves the test subjects of many government experiments in many nations in endeavors to create perfect soldiers, perfect warriors.
The young German man lying on the cold table in this metal floor to ceiling empty room had grafted to his body Megingjord- the belt of Thor and the iron gloves Jarngreipr said to grant a human the ability to wield Mjolnir.
Guess what they would like to send him looking for if he survives all of this.
FYI, unknown to most everyone Thor’s hammer is in the possession of the last of his bloodline that was left on the Earth when the other Gods abandoned it to find a place in the universe to wait out the life of humanity.
The men behind Germany Forest are hoping they have finally found someone who will survive the process they have put hundreds through.
The whole world smells, it stinks, and the future that in the air is turning like a brewing storm.

A First Shot Fired
Part 9

BREAKING NEWS: Group of Cardinals say if Pope starts reaching towards the modern world his position will be rethought by those who put him there. These comments come after the Pope surprisingly said, “We cannot let our fear of Beyond Human separate us from our own humanity.”…

BREAKING NEWS: Heath care providers in some hospitals in Seattle are saying if more laws are passed against treating Beyond Humans and reporting them they will be forced to go against the law and will do so willingly…

BREAKING NEWS: Woman whose husband was found to be a Beyond Human while serving in the military goes to court to try and get information on his location since being arrested by his fellow soldiers. Senator says her pursuit of this information should be seen as treason in itself…

No matter how you want to twist the thinking when it comes to law enforcement or being a soldier it is a life atmosphere in violence. This is the reason why to survive in law enforcement, officers tend to develop pretty twisted since of humors.
This is also why police and military love to tell stories but here’s something most people don’t know. The stories they tell are to hide the things they don’t want to talk about.
Living a life dipped in violence at any moment requires a person to develop coping mechanisms whether they are fucked up jokes, drunken stories, or even sometimes like something out of an old shore leave movie with a bar fight or two.
If you asked Sergeant Luke what was the worst fight he had ever been in, he would probably tell you about some fight when he was in the police academy or during a football game in high school, but if he was honest this story would be what he would tell you.
Also of course he was in the military and a mere private during the time of this story so this is about Private Luke.
Private Luke was a young man with broad shoulders. He was heavily recruited by a number of colleges to play football but he wanted to join the military. To serve his country during very chaotic times was very important to him.
He went into the military thinking it would be a lot like football. Hard days training but also a building of lifelong friendships. He thought it would be about people dedicated to one goal, and in the case of the military he thought that goal would be the protection of freedom.
There were a lot of fellow soldiers who thought the same as he did but what he never expected were the bloodlusting ones. The men and women who were itching at the chance to kill people and not be arrested for it. Not itching to get at some enemy but just whoever was placed in front of them.
He quickly learned this wasn’t the world of high school football.
Or the world of John Wayne movie.
More like something by the overstuffed Oliver Stone.
The training of basic training wasn’t that bad for him. His high school football coach had actually based their Two-A-Day practices during the summer and after school during the school year on his own experiences in the military.
But after only a few months Private Luke found out he was among a bunch of very nasty people.
The ring leader of this bunch was one Private Saul.
Out of every group of new recruits there are usually one or two real standouts. In this group the two were Private Luke and Private Saul. This fact and the fact that Private Luke didn’t take part in their talk of raping woman and killing like it was a sport, and not to mention the torturing of lesser recruits, this put Saul and Luke in a direction heading right at each other and it was only a matter of time.
Private Saul saw Luke as a threat to his own bullying of the other recruits and a threat to him being the golden boy of their drill sergeant, Sergeant Tucker.
Sergeant Tucker turned a blind eye to what Private Saul and his underlings were doing, he saw it as survival training within the group. He hoped Luke would step up and be one of the strong but had his doubts after Private Luke reported some of what Saul had been doing and saying over Tucker’s head.
So with that insult in mind Sergeant Tucker set up a lesson to be taught, and one was taught, just not the one he was thinking.
Sergeant Tucker had forged papers that showed Saul was on the other side of the base with him but in fact he was heading for a storage unit with two of his cronies, a storage unit were Private Luke was taking inventory after a break in two nights before.
Guess who did the break in?
The storage unit was about the size of good sized backyard storage shed. It contained for the most part military manuals on everything from kitchen equipment to personal weapon usage.
Luke was going through each box and counting against inventory lists of what should be there when the door shut behind him. He turned and in the small light of the shed spotted Saul.
Saul’s two friends where standing outside the storage shed to make sure they could alert Saul in case someone not part of their plan showed up.
Luke had watched Saul in training. He was well trained in MMA hand to hand combat techniques. Sergeant Tucker had even started having Saul show the other recruits a trick or two which Saul loved, he was shown before the others to be superior to them and also got to break some bones on order.
He was also twice the size of Luke, nothing but muscle, and every move he made was about strength, about large strikes.
He had made a mistake choosing this as the place to confront Luke.
Despite his MMA training Luke had seen Saul fight, and he was always thinking about maneuvers. He could see when a weakness came up it was because people had made him face something he wouldn’t normally face in training or a MMA match.
Saul started moving towards Luke but Luke quickly jumped up and punched the free hanging light bulb and when it went out he know what his next move was going to be before his feet hit the ground.
He knew Saul would be trying to grab him in a standing position so he landed not on his feet but his knees and immediately punched his enemy in the nuts as hard as he could.
He could hear Saul stumble back against the door and shouting profanities so he knew his punches hit the spot really nice.
Outside Saul’s cronies were smiling thinking their friend was kicking the shit out of Luke.
Saul charged across the dark storage unit in a rage and with all the profanity Luke was able to pretty accurately time an elbow right to the face which dislocated his elbow but shattered Saul’s face into many broken pieces. A shattered nose, broken orbital bone, and split jaw.
In a couple minutes Private Saul passed out from the pain but that was only after Luke stomped on his face a couple more times.
Then Private Luke had to decide what he was going to do about the guys waiting outside. He knew how Saul and his bunch operated and knew they had to be at least a couple of them out there waiting for their friend to emerge and talk about how much pain he had put Luke through.
Luke reached to push the door open and get this over with when he was grabbed from behind. He had a quick thought of Saul being one tough mother fucker but throwing back some head butts to already shattered face make him let go and collapse to his knees and then face first onto the floor.
Luke kicked the door open and started dragging Saul out. The two buddies just looked on. They wanted to attack but the sight of Saul in that sort of shape scared them so they watched as Luke dragged him across the grounds, three buildings down to Sergeant Tucker’s quarters.
Luke dropped him there and knocked on the door and walked to the stockade and waited.
The trail found Luke innocent of an attempted murder charge that Sergeant Tucker had pushed for. Further investigation uncovered Sergeant Tucker’s involved in the incident and he was dishonorably discharged.
The worst fight Luke ever was ever in was the fight he fought every day in the military after going against the grain but it was a lesson he did learn. Authority and law are not always right.

What’s about to happen will probably be one of those moments that Sergeant Luke and Chris keep for the most part to themselves. It’s going to get really personal because make no bones about it violence is always personal, otherwise you would end up dead trying to play moral standard playset.
Sergeant Luke and Chris were riding down in a freight elevator to the training floor of Pompeys Pillar. The elevator was playing old big band tunes. They have tried to track the wiring to find out where the music came from but so far they had no luck.
Sergeant Luke had just explained to Chris the next stage in their plan and you would expect them to be tense but they actually weren’t. Sergeant Luke noticed that and was happy Chris’s training was coming along to the point where he was able to be calm right now.
‘No holds barred?’ Chris asked.
‘Until one of us taps out, says no more.’ Sergeant Luke make the point clear with his words.
‘So is this my coming out party?’ Chris
‘More like one of several final tests.’ Sergeant Luke told him.
‘And if I fail any of them?’ Chris
‘It’s over before it starts.’ Sergeant Luke
‘No holds barred?’ Chris
‘Yep.’ Sergeant Luke
Chris went for an elbow strike to the head but Luke ducked and the elbow hit the elevator. By the time that happen Luke had taken Chris’s legs out from under him with a shin kick.
Luke tried to gain a mount position on Chris but the door had opened and Chris rolled out into the training area.
Sergeant Luke noted in his own head how Chris’s scramble instincts were improving.
They both returned to a standing position smiling at each other. It takes a certain kind of person to get a kick out of this sort of thing.
‘Are you sure you really want to do this?’ Chris asked, yes still smiling.
‘Are you scared Banks won’t be able to patch you up?’ Sergeant Luke asked the young man he was training.
‘Trying to jolt me old man?’
‘Trying to get me pissed kid? You don’t have any moves I didn’t teach you.’
They moved in towards each other.
Luke knew this was the answer to his question. Will this end before it even got started? If Chris can’t stand against him then he isn’t the man for this mission. If he can’t get through this, he would just get them killed at a later point because he wasn’t good enough.
Chris swung, Luke spun away from the punch and in the same second he went for a spin kick but Chris hit his knees to duck it and then got on his back to dodge another kick.
Chris kicked up from his back going for Luke’s knees but Luke deflected the series of quick kicks.
Luke went in for a punch but Chris rolled away, the punch hit the floor, and quickly both men were back to their feet.
A restart and more smiles to try and psyche out the other one but they knew it wouldn’t work on each other. The smiles were more a are you getting into this because I’m really getting into this.
Luke walked over to one of the walls in the training room and pulled down two daggers. The room was decorated with all kinds of handheld weapons.
He slid one of the daggers on the floor over to Chris.
‘Your hand to hand unarmed is good but this is America, no one comes at you with bad intentions unarmed,’ Sergeant Luke
Chris picked up the dagger, ‘Blades?’
‘You can use a blade to cut, disable, torture, or kill. You make those choices in a moment.’
Chris watched Luke as they sized each other up. He knew Luke was going for the kill. This was an end lesson he needed to survive to pass. This wasn’t about them not being able to do this and going their separate ways, there was this or failure for both of them.
Luke went for a stabbing thrust with his dagger. Chris was distracted blocking that blow so that allowed Luck the opportunity to sneak in a kick to the ribs.
Chris thought he heard a crack but tried not to give anything away in case Luke didn’t hear it.
As he moved Chris thought he could feel part of his ribs rubbing up against other parts and it hurt.
‘That was probably a rib. Even a small crack will take your breathing down ten percent,’ Sergeant Luke explained to his acolyte.
He did notice.
This wasn’t good for the student.
Chris tosses away the dagger knowing he needed to change things up and go for something blunter so he pulled two maces off a wall. He dropped one and backed away from it.
‘Maces don’t give you much wiggle room?’ Sergeant Luke
‘Most final exams don’t have a do over or did I miss hear and you’re grading on a curve?’ Chris
‘I thought for a while this is when it was going to end. That you couldn’t take these steps,’ Sergeant Luke
‘I’m flattered you thought I would fail,’ Chris said, no longer smiling.
‘I didn’t think you were going to fail, just that you wouldn’t take the next step against another human being.’
‘So you trained me and pushed me into a situation where I will bash your head in?’
‘What you should have said is, try to bash my head in.’
They run at each other, maces in hand, but Chris jumps in the air dropkicking Luke in the face Brad Armstrong style.
He learned almost everything he knows from Sergeant Luke but he also watched a lot of Smokey Mountain Wrestling.
As Sergeant Luke tumbled backward from the dropkick his mace flew out of his hand hitting the ground with a big thud. Chris had totally caught him off guard.
Chris picked up the other mace without hesitation. Then he ran over to Luke and started trying to take out his legs slamming them down one after the other.
Luke scrambled and dove under a table covered in throwing knives. He kicked the table up sending knives and the table flying hard against Chris.
They both stood up, but now both were tired, but Chris more so. Swinging both of those maces took a lot out of him.
‘Control your breathing during a fight, especially if you have a cracked rib,’ Sergeant Luke told him.
‘No more toys?’ Chris asked his teacher.
‘Ok with me.’ Sergeant Luke answered.
Luke ran over and tackled Chris. He was going to see how his student could handle pure brutality and how much he was willing to give back to someone.
Here endth this lesson.

Among The Trees And Insects

BREAKING NEWS: Not a joke, several members of the U.S. Congress have put forward a notion of getting the military to present plans for the first steps to building a new empire to settle economic issues…

BREAKING NEWS: The trial of Bernard Jennings, who hunted down a Beyond Human teenager and killed him, ends as he gets off on grounds the boy shouldn’t be on the streets and being there made him a threat. The boy, Manny Tenner, was a friend of his sons…

BREAKING NEWS: Virginia man charged with fraud on a government document because he didn’t give his email address on Jury Duty form and is arrested. Man doesn’t even own computer or TV. Said he isn’t stupid, knows what email is, but “working as a carpenter for a local furniture store never gave me course to need one”…

BREAKING NEWS: S*BL team, Florida Whale Skulls, walk off court in protest after Bernard Jennings verdict is announced…

Aryballo used to be a roller derby girl. Girl in this cause is ok, at least I think it is? because saying roller derby girl isn’t using “girl” in a condescending way.
Plus, roller derby woman just doesn’t sound right to my ears.
Anyways, she was a roller derby girl while in college. She needed something to do when not studying and couldn’t really stand any of her classmates. It only took her three months to come to the conclusion that the only thing that would keep her from climbing a tower with a rifle was finding ways of getting away from these people.
The roller derby team she joined was called The Florida Rusty Hooks. Their logo is a rusty hook sticking out of the cheek of an old woman. Kind of fucked up if you think about it. If I remember and have some cash to hire an artist maybe that will turn out being nice t-shirt.
When you do local roller derby, which are usually nonprofit operations, everyone kicks in. From skating on the team, to working the concession table, to selling merchandise, to announcing, to cheering to roar up the crowd and get them screaming.
The Rusty Hooks were in the middle of their season and so far had only suffered one lose. In a couple years they have gone from losing just about every matchup to being one of the best teams in the state and a well-known part of the community, especially among small business and the local artist community.
Aryballo was working the merchandise table for this home game. So far she had skated one game and the rest spending time on the bench. She thought to herself, “at least it was something different to do” and fans on the team’s official website were starting to call her a Bench Babe.
Her coach was really happy she had volunteered for the job as most people don’t want to do it since the universal term for the person working the merchandise booth is Merch Bitch, but she didn’t mind, I mean her derby name was Aryballo Bitch anyways.
As long as no one tried to call her a Merch Bitch she was fine with it. Anyways, her teammate ZePuss told her if anyone did she would body slam them.
She wasn’t the best skater but loved just being part of everything the Rusty Hooks did. Her teammates had taken to her too as she was game for all their fun including matches, charity work, and most important after event bar crawls.
After the announcer explained the rules to anyone in the crowd not in the know with skaters from both teams giving a visual of what he was talking about and the national anthem was sung by a local talent the matchup started.
On this particular night The Florida Rusty Hooks were going up against The Tampa Bay Hurri Hits. The Rusty Hooks were in red and black and the Hurri Hits in yellow and blue.
While The Florida Rusty Hooks were made up of artists, athletes, and cool people, The Tampa Bay Hurri Hits consisted of girls who cheat on their girlfriends, people who part in front of Wal-Marts in fire lanes, and those who own four-wheel drive vehicles and still drive around speed bumps.
They’re the baddies.
The assholes.
The Rusty Hooks home games were at a local recreational centers gym. It was flat track roller derby event so they had the glory and fun of suicide seating for those interested in the art of having a half dressed, face painted, sweaty female in their laps.
I love suicide seating.
The game got heated from the first whistle. The first jammer to hit the pack was brought down with a bad elbow but the referees didn’t see the contact and had one pissed off Nurpooto of The Rusty Hooks bleeding and yelling at him.
From there it just continued. One of The Hurri Hits went down with a bad ankle. ZePuss directed someone into suicide seating aiming right at a couple of old ladies. That action alone should tell you who designed the teams logo.
You would think things around the gym were placed there as targets because there were skaters that went through the exit door, into the wheelchair area, and into the announcers.
So a normal derby day and one of the tamer ones Aryballo has ever been involved with.
One thing that Aryballo had never noticed before, because she was usually really nervous about the game and just focused on what was going on from the bench, she had never noticed the basketball hoops which had been pulled back while not in use. And that painted on the backboards was NO HANGING.
Now everyone knows anything knows this is telling players not to hang after dunks or trying to dunk or just acting stupid because most gym rims and backboards are pretty cheap and couldn’t take that much weight.
For some reason though seeing those backboards clicked a memory back into her head. Something she had put away and had forgotten to disappear as a childhood horror but it had just found her again.
The memory was of a night when her family visited Virginia when she was five years old but the memory was triggered by what some might think is a very racist joke which passed through her mind. But it wasn’t a thought as a joke, just a recall and feeling. When she first saw the backboards her thought was, “They put those signs on trees in Virginia.”
Her family went to Virginia to check out a number of the national and state parks in it and the surrounding states of Tennessee and Kentucky.
One of the places that grabbed hold most to Aryballo’s five-year-old mind was Cojo’s Cave. Now I think it’s officially called something else now but only the people paid to call it that and strangers to the area called it anything but Cojo’s Cave.
When her family visited Virginia she got separated from everyone within the cave because of some snotty so called professional hikers when one of them fell down into the cave.
Aryballo wondered off with her little Pulpy flashlight trailing a bunch of baby bats.
Cojo’s Cave by the way is actually in Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Or just two of the three, I always forget.
She somehow got way ahead of everyone else on the tour group before any noticed she was missing and ended up coming out of the cave way before the rest and wondered off into the woods.
She walked around in the woods for a while. As a child she was rather known to do without a care or fear before she started to get scared but she hadn’t felt real fear in her life yet so this was mainly the same feeling a cat gets when you leave the apartment, a feeling of holy shit the people who feed me aren’t here.
Real fear isn’t the fear of death, real fear is the fear after you have faced something horrific that you might live with this experience for the rest of your life. For some death is choice made as a final way to get away from some experiences.
What a young Aryballo faced that day were seven men, seven black men of various ages and stages of death decay hanging from trees by their necks.
When they found her she was sitting under one of the hanging men as drops of blood dripped down onto her head. Her eyes were wide open and she didn’t speak again for days after and never spoke of what she saw.
Until after a roller derby match.
The derby match between The Rusty Hooks and The Hurri Hits stopped and everyone was watching as Aryballo’s best friend on the team had raced over to her after hearing her screaming and was walking her out of the gymnasium in tears.
It was a mild breakdown she went through that night. Her friend wanted to take her to the emergency room but she spoke again when she told her no and then the story of what happen to her when she was five.
She was helped to recover from the reemergence of that memory by her friends on the team, but she would grow to find out the best thing that happen to the growth of her life was that memory returning. Until that point she thought the world was black and white. It isn’t. And the shades of gray can drive a person insane and she would need insanity to survive what her future held.

When you work for a government top secret black operations group at the beginning you think it’s going to be all secret gadgets, interesting locations, and cool codenames.
I mean Hell, the very first thing they do when you sign on the dotted line that says you will be hanged if you reveal anything about what you do, is wipe everything from any official documents that show you ever really existed at all.
You don’t get that working for McDonalds.
At least not yet.
Soon you find out when working the black ops shades even though there are some really cool spy gadgets stuff, your most reliable weapons will never be a decoder ring or unusually placed buttons in your car and will always be keeping your head about you at all times.
It’s not long on the job until the notion of visiting interesting locations is replaced with decontamination showers, shots to keep things from crawling under your skin, and days of of bleeding out your ears as payoff for visiting these places.
You kind of wish the group you work for had some sort of cool code name like Operation Condor or Operation Black Sheep Pissing or The Florida Rusty Hooks but no for style points you get digits when you work for 51222B and you will just have to deal with it.
And made fun of by the guys at Operation Application.
51222B is the United States governments operation to prepare our government in every way for a modern world that includes overpopulation, daily uprisings, rebellions, terrorists, Beyond Humans, aliens, climate change, and auto tuning.
Yep, they are responsible for him dying in that hotel room. Auto tune singing can be a dangerous career.
On the surface 51222B looked like a simple research and development operation but they have more layers than an onion, and they get darker with each layer, unlike an onion.
Today’s layer involves a 51222B agent code named Aryballo. This is her first mission so her assigned code name fits her first assignment.
Yes, I didn’t reveal her real name in the flashback portion to start things but that’s because it’s Top Secret.
I’m a good little American drone.
Aryballo is young, freshly recruited out of FIT in Florida showing that even among frat boy future date rapists and mommy paid for cars you might find a sparkler or two.
Ok, she’s the only one.
To be honest several government agencies have had their eyes on her since high school because her I.Q. is through the roof, and when groups like 51222B go recruiting they look at two things to start, I.Q. and if the person is damaged.
You can’t do this type of work if you are stupid as an empty bucket and also if you aren’t just a little damaged.
Aryballo had taken to wearing men style suits of various colors to go with her blonde neck short hair and yellow work boots. If you work in black ops and do something like dressing unusually that draws attention to yourself.
Others in your line of work have a name for people like you, they call you Future Dead.
Still a bit of the roller derby standout individuality in her and if she wasn’t one of the best young agents 51222B had they would push back against her individuality.
Her debriefings for this mission was done on her plane flight from Florida and at a well known Argentina airport by another 51222B agent code named Llama.
Llama is a shortish turtle looking guy who channels old school Elton John for his eyewear choices. Another one screaming against all logical reasoning and drawing attention to himself.
Aryballo’s mission was supposed to be an easy one for her to start with as her first mission outside the United States. Before this she was for the most part handling digging up dirt on politicians and celebrities and industrial espionage.
She’s here alone, also a new one for her, with no backup. Working alone is one thing. That’s how she likes to operate but when you do so knowing that no one is going to come charging in if things go all tits up or there isn’t even someone talking to you on the other end of an earpiece, it sort of gives you a new set of thoughts that dance in your head.
Getting this type of mission and it being different from her normal assignment tells her they are testing her to see if she can handle the next level up of mission.
This level up of mission involves Aryballo going to a Ryan Industries phantom company to retrieve some information an undercover 51222B agent had acquired.
The company, called Program Machines, is located out in the middle of nowhere.
A great way for keeping secrets and also for a writer who doesn’t know much about Argentina.
And is admittedly a little lazy sometimes.
Like today.
Aryballo took the rented old Range Rover Llama setup for her and drove it into the deep overgrowth for about an hour. She crashed through blinding masses of trees, stumps, and one or two abandoned bicycles before reaching a parking lot and a small warehouse building.
Her rental was even worse for the trip now having a busted front windshield and a missing left rear hubcap.
She went through the normal procedures that are her routine before heading into the lion’s den of an enemy location. The only difference is this time she’s basically going in unarmed and completely valuable. If this shits up a bit, there won’t be much of a chance of her making it out alive.
Aryballo kept telling herself what she was told. This is a basic pickup, no problem, there is no reason to think anything has or will go wrong. And those lies were good enough for her to be ready to get this going but before she got out of the rental security guards were at her door.
‘Can we help you miss?’ Security Guard One
Aryballo gave the guard the type of smile most men love from a woman. Not too bold, not too happy, almost sad.
Even with a fake company setup Colin Ryan makes sure he has American blonde white guys working security in a South American country.
That’s from his personal a cookbook of douchbaggery.
The company manufactures computer casing, well they are supposed to, well they do but that’s a cover for what they are really up to.
51222B has been trying to keep a good eye on a lot of Ryan Industries activities for a few years now. They put an agent inside this particular location to find out what was going on after a number of ghost net hints that something else was going on here besides what company tax forms say and that agent who was sent in undercover signaled not too long ago that he had information for them to pick up.
He was undercover as Roger Mas and Aryballo was going in posing as his wife, Varn Mas. Randomly computer generated names means some funky shit comes out sometimes. 51222B agents have a running pool for who at the end of the year ends up having to use the worst undercover name.
The white breadest of the Ryan Industry security guards escorted Aryballo from her Range Rover to the buildings front reception area; which to Aryballo looked like it had once been some sort of meat slaughter room. It still had a few hooks hanging from the ceiled which they had tried to hide with really tall plants.
There were a couple dumpster found couches and one very large desk that the receptionist was using that looked like someone had taken two large wooden desks and bracketed them together.
‘This is Roger Mas wife,’ Guard Guy informed the receptionist.
Aryballo smiled at the receptionist, ‘Varn.’ But the only thing the receptionist returned was looking her over. She had disregarded her normal choice of dress for work boots, blue jeans, a button up shirt and tie.
‘I’ll call production to let him know, until then have a seat Miss Mas.’
Aryballo sat down on one of the couches trying not to think about the smell of piss and the stains. Better than the other couch though; which looked like a monkey had been using it as its home for a good few days.
She was sitting reading the latest Warren Ellis novel, because all spies love Warren Ellis, when someone came out to show her to the breakroom.
If everything went smooth she would be in and out and back home just in time for the sea food festival in Grant Florida.
They were walking Aryballo, and she was noticing this place looked like shit. They sure weren’t trying to act like this place was any sort of great place to work. Though she had been in a few legitimate American businesses in Mexico and they full take advantage of not having to deal with all the work place rules and regulations you have to in the U.S.
Or until some dipshit voters vote for dipshit politicians who will unrestrict them from the gays and foreigners, and all they have to give up for this is freedom and safety.
She was starting to think the breakroom must be on the other side of the building and how bad of a design that is, she dated an architect once, did you notice.
The security guard who didn’t respond to her sad smile came up from behind and grabbed Aryballo in a bear hug that immediately took all the air out of her lungs and cracked a rib. This guy was incredibly strong.
Beyond Human?
She didn’t know about that but he was a lot taller than her so her reaction had to be to push herself forward in his grip, surprising him with her own strength, and then a double back kick that took out both of his knees.
But before her feet even hit the ground she was tasered several times into piss, shits, and drools.

Aryballo opened her eyes to find herself hanging upside down in a dark room that smelled really bad.
Worse the couches in the reception area.
Sort of like hamburger gone maggot factory bad.
She tried to put her hands over her mouth but discovered they were handcuffed behind her back.
How does someone not notice her hands are tied behind her back?
Tasering by a taser that’s illegal in most countries, even some of those fucked up human rights ones, probably helps in getting your mind in that sort of state.
She was ready to throw up and possibly die alia Momma Cass but that feeling was sidetracked by a door opening and the image of a man standing in the shadows with a rogueish British accent.
If you are wondering what a rogueish British accent is…well, so am I.
‘Now what are we going to do with you?’ said British accent guy in shadows
‘Tickets for me and my husband to Paris?’ Aryballo
‘Your husband hey?’
The man flicked on the rooms lights and then he shut the door leaving her hanging in a room all by herself with a decaying corpse.

Aryballo was guessing this is how her undercover husband died. For the past week every day a tour of the security staff would come into the room she was hanging within and take turns working out underpaid tension.
She survived through the security guards and now it’s the office staffs turn to get some office space anxiety out.
Her fake husband must not have lasted this long because these people were talking about being left out of things last time.
Most of these office workers probably hadn’t ever been in a fight before because most of their punches didn’t even hurt. Though to be honest most of her body was numb as the security guards had made their way through her pain threshold pretty well.
She was waiting for the right moment, when they would have gotten to use to her being there, and for the right one to make a move that leaves her an opening.
She got that opening she was looking for with a gym whore who had a name tag that said he worked in the shipping department. During her time working for 51222B and dealing with frat boys in college those who muscle up to this degree are compensating because they have a huge weakness when it actually comes to trading blows. Dog fights, beating their lover, kicking the shit out of a homeless man, those things they could handle.
The shipper muscle guy, let’s call him Benjamin, because that was on his name tag, came into the room thinking this is the moment that has fueled all of his wet dreams, the chance to punching bag a women hanging from the ceiling.
She has met his type so many times she can spot that look in their eyes.
He walked up to her and for a second she thought he was going to pull down his pants and wackoff but instead he just rubbed the front of his pants a few times and then went for a haymaker punch. She swung her legs sending her head up to his neck were she dug in and start chewing.
He was trying to scream but was doing more of a sad whimper than anything else.
‘uns te me. Ow,’ Aryballo
Benjamin reach up and started untying her. She could see through all the blood pouring down on her face that he was getting weak in the knees but he lasted just long enough to untie her hands and then he hit the floor with a thud.
She unhooked her feet from the hook she was handing from and hopped down. She was on her knees searching the room for cameras but it seemed like the room didn’t have any so she then started searching Benjamin but he didn’t have any sort of weapon on his person. She took his ID instead and looked out the door to see if the hall was clear.
They didn’t have any cameras in the room but she did notice when coming down the hallway when they tasered her that the hallway was full of them. She would have to head straight out. No time to check out the rest of the place. Only enough time to get out and call in some help. If this place is killing people they know are government agents then this place is worth a raid from 51222B, Home Land Security, just someone else, just not her.
This isn’t the first time Aryballo has been captured and not the first time she’s had to fight through a shit beating to get out of a situation alive.
She was personally trained by one of 51222B’s best agent. Agent Kage spent a lot of time with her before being transferred over to Project Chicago Freaks.
Aryballo wasn’t waiting until the hallway was clear.
She turned back into the room and kicked Benjamin in the head to shut him up.
Then she stood on top of the man’s body and unscrewed the hook she had been hanging from.
She laid in wait until a security guard passed by and pounced out of the room to attack.
The hook embedded into the back of the guard’s skull.
He fell to his knees and then slumped against the walk.
She pulled the automatic rifle away from the guard.
The buildings high alarm went off before she even took a step further.
Two guards came into the hallway behind her, she gunned them down. Then she turned back around and took out two more from the other hallway entrance.
Aryballo didn’t have time to realize this was the first time she ever killed anyone…by shooting them. She’s really good with garrots, knives, poisons, hand to hand combat, and other such tools of her trade.
But she was trained in the use of most known firearms and all that training was hitting her and she was staying alive because of it because her body had been through hell.
She fired a full clips into each hallway entrance and then slapped in the last clip she had taken from the hooked security guard.
Kicking open doors along the hallway had her searching for an out or something to blow up the situation. She found both in a chemical lab.
They would be rushing in with numbers soon; so she had to do something and do it fast.
The air tightness on the door would keep things from getting in. She grabbed several glass containers of bleach and ammonia and tossed them into the hallway and quickly shut the door.
She leaned against the wall for a second and let the realization set up. She was cornered without much chance of making it out of this alive. She wasn’t giving up. Going down means she’s going to scorch this place and she will do everything to keep herself fighting because there is never a suicide time because this was not quitting time.
She surveyed the room further. One window but high level bullet proofing in case of accidental explosions.
Some caged animals looking as experimented on animals would look, a wall lined with chemical after chemical bottle, and a walk in freezer labeled Live Bacterial Specimens.
She opened the freezer door a crack then opened fire on the cages, chemical bottles, and dived in as she heard things exploding on the outside.
Standing to her feet she noticed the cold right away, a smell something like feet, and then that freezer was full of plastic containers with pieces of animals and humans.
Before she could think about a next step she noticed a pink gas coming through the sides of the freezer door. Guess it wasn’t air tight.

The response to a call to Ryan Industries ordered the head of the facilities security to burn the place down. They figured if she wasn’t already dead she would be and the security of the operation was out the door.

They napalmed the location a day later but they also found signs of someone that walked away from the location and deep into the forest and in time all signs disappeared.
At the end of this trail Colin Ryan’s right hand man Envision, who was leading the search, called back to his boss, ‘The trail ended at the highway. Do you want a sweep of the nearby community?’
‘I need you back here. This Orchid Secret chatter is getting loud. Let your team follow on with this.’
‘Yes, sir.’ Envision

She broke into the back of an auto repair business that looked like it was ready to fall down in the all of it at any moment.
She found and dialed the secret international number. She could barely breathe. Her lungs felt like they were burning away.
All the way from the facility something has been pouring from her mouth and just stopped. Her mouth tasted like burnt popcorn.
‘Identify yourself agent.’
‘51222B, Section 12, Agent AY, Help…please.’
