Another Step Forward

We here at Tin Universe would like to welcome Janelle Asselin to The Real Trees team as Script Editor for season 2, the first full season; which will have it's first episode premiering December 22nd of 2020. One of the many lessons I've learned working on this first season of teaser episodes is I can't do this alone and where I can find, afford, and get help I'm going to do so to make season 2 the best season I can make it be.

       

       Janelle grew up in the Midwest, filled with a wild imagination and a love of reading.  In 2005, she began actively pursuing her dream of editing comic books for a living.  Initially, this involved writing comic book reviews and covering panels at comic conventions for Newsarama.com.  Janelle was then hired as the assistant editor at the sadly now-defunct Fangoria Comics, where she worked for a year until she was hired at DC Comics as an assistant editor.

In her time at DC Comics, Janelle worked in the Bat-group of books, editing everything from Batman and Detective Comics to Birds of Prey and Knight and Squire. She was soon promoted to associate editor.  In 2011, she departed DC Comics to work at Disney Publishing Worldwide in the global magazines and comics department as an editor. Beyond her work at DC and Disney, Janelle also feels strongly about her role as an outspoken advocate of women in comics and the issues that face the comics industry. 

Janelle continues her work as a freelance editor, editing novels, comics, scripts, and non-fiction books, while also working as a marketing coordinator for the engineering company Affiliated Engineers, Inc. Janelle's passion for the written word is evident in the work she does every day.

A lifelong scholar, Janelle holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Southern New Hampshire University and an MS in Publishing from Pace University.  Janelle received Pace’s 2012 Publishing Award for excellence in the study of publishing.  Janelle lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her lovely fiance and three adorable cats.

I did a quick day time test of our green screen wall. It was a lot of phone and turned out ok for something I did in like five minutes to see what's the worst I'd get out of using it during the day for filming. Talking With Mar Promo Video

Mar helped me record some test footage {as long as she got to flip me off} to practice editing video and effects. I created a promo video for her podcast we haven't recorded a episode of in ages TALKING WITH MAR. The ending was me trying to do a Venture Bros type end transition.
